I'm against high and illogical age of consent laws but you're right, in the current paradigm, we, along with most men, would not benefit from it getting lowered indeed. It has to be changed along with other things, like fathers picking husbands for their daughters, the culture encouraging monogamy and marrying young, way less liberties to women, etc.
