I finished my final essay last night and took a brutal STEM exam today that I had studied for non-stop the past week. But at the end of it I don't really feel success—only emptiness. I have nothing left to distract myself with. I went and got a meal from my favorite restaurant and went back to my room to eat it alone. No girlfriend, no sex, same empty bed. It's sobering and takes away from the joy of accomplishments.
