It's sort of like makeup. It's a lot more taboo for men.
That said this seems to be something that has changed rapidly in the past 10 years or so. There has been a huge influx of young male patients, and cosmetic surgeons have all taken note of this. Articles have been written about this.
I asked my first cosmetic surgeon about this and he said when he first started practicing, less than 10 percent of his patients were male but by then it was about 30 percent. This was back in 2008 too.
