Being good lucking and having the right connections is what truly matters. Viewers will never like a ugly character unless it's either the bad guy or comedy relief. Acting talent is bullshit for the same reason for why personality doesn't matter in real life.

Low IQ. It just happens that attractive people usually are actors, its a bias

There are more factors at play. Famous actors have money for surgery and they usually have make-up in movies.

It's easier to become an actor if you're good looking but not it's still not a cakewalk, there are 1000s of people you have to beat to get a career in that field. Acting talent matters but good looking people get validation their entire life and as a result are more low inhib which is a good skill. Also, their tendency to be popular socially gives them more connections. Good looking people just have it easier, as is the case for everything.

There are some talentless good looking actors but that's just life my guy.
