Everybody already knows this. Social dynamics in high school are so obvious that they are no secret to anyone. Everybody with an IQ above 90 already knows that the correlation between physical beauty and popularity in high school is >0.8.

What we need to attack is not ignorance, but psychological mechanisms of denial, willful delusion and coping.
