Depends on how you view acceptable, if you mean legally or not.
In some countries the age of consent is 16, but a 18 years old guy can obviously get with a 15 years old foid and that's absolutely, in all degrees not weird, even if theoretically it's illegal, so it depends on what the meaning of acceptable is there.

I'd say it depends how old you are. 2 years if you're still in Romeo & Juliet law territory, 5 outside of that.

Of course, if the roles are reversed (older woman younger man) any gap is kosher.
