I disagree with the top 10% label. There are way better good-looking guys with sub-par pictures (yes, I've lurked over Tinder).
Now, OLD is obviously a good way for above-average looking guys to experience some ONS. According to my own research, social circles are a way to land on relationships: of course, if your looks fall within the LTN range, then it won't entirely work (most relationships are composed by MTN guys, mostly).

In regards to the social circle way to find an agreeable girl friend for a relationship, it'll be obviously difficult for the average-looking man (most relationships are proportionate, looks wise). However, I've find out that most girls — within large social circles — are already taken (being on serious relationship, for instance).
What's left for MTN, given the previous point? Many women are already out of the dating scene; the ratio doesn't add up. College setting? Hobby interests? Hm. It's certainly impossible for LTNs, though.
