For me, Valentine's Day is not especially horrible because for many years, EVERY DAY is a day without kisses, without sex, without affection, without intimacy. I have assumed it completely, I have internalized it. Every time I see a couple, every time I even see a box of condoms in the pharmacy and the supermarket (and it reminds me that the others HAVE SEX WHILE I ROT), etc. it reminds me of my situation and I get depressed. Tomorrow will be a day like today or the day after tomorrow. Days of loneliness, frustration and intense emotional pain.
