I was looking through Genesis, so here's my interpretation:
>the tree of life is a metaphor, it has no power and does not grant anything to man
>God created man with free will, it was not the tree of life that read gave free will
> when man eats the forbidden fruit, the break with God lies in the fact that man disobeyed the Almighty, not because he ate a magic fruit
>the serpent is a metaphor for human nature, it's not an entity, it's not Lucifer, it's just a representation of human nature
>man decides to be influenced by his animal nature and is disinherited from paradise
That part is a metaphor, why was fuck taken as a literal description for so long?
It's because of this kind of thing that religion has been losing followers, imagine believing that a talking snake is the devil.
