I was looking through Genesis, so here's my interpretation:
>the tree of life is a metaphor, it has no power and does not grant anything to man
>God created man with free will, it was not the tree of life that read gave free will
> when man eats the forbidden fruit, the break with God lies in the fact that man disobeyed the Almighty, not because he ate a magic fruit
>the serpent is a metaphor for human nature, it's not an entity, it's not Lucifer, it's just a representation of human nature
>man decides to be influenced by his animal nature and is disinherited from paradise
That part is a metaphor, why was fuck taken as a literal description for so long?
It's because of this kind of thing that religion has been losing followers, imagine believing that a talking snake is the devil.

Eve tempted the man to eat the fruit.

Yes, I agree with this btw.

The eating of the apple is simply deviation from God's will. The snake is literally temptation that entices us to make morally incorrect decisions. It is all just a metaphor for 'free will is the choice to choose either good or evil' blah blah blajh
