i remember skipping lots of cs classes, at one point i was absent for months. one day i came back to cs just to see what was going on. there was a substitute teacher that was teaching MATH.- i sat in disbelief. apparently they were studying math for at least few weeks. the 3 year cs program slowly descended into some grotesque form of algebra. to this day i don't know what has happened.- what happened to the cs curriculum? the teacher was handing out math homework.
now correct me if im wrong, but computer science does have some math in it (in functions) but i don't know any programmer that does pure math unless its for research or computer engineering which is quite different than computer science.
one other weird thing i remember is that we used an 80's style compiler. guys i shit you not, this compiler was so old we had to fucking emulate it (teacher said "its old but its the best compiler ever"). also the teacher was handing out 700mb cd's that contained 15mb's of data. he could've uploaded it on his website but his html dogshit website didn't even host that material.
half of students quietly dropped out or attended sporadically towards the end
