Just starting to. Except for Russia, which had been a major migrant destination for people from ex-USSR countries for a long time and which I'm not counting here, it's an extremely new phenomenon for Slavic, and EE countries in general, to get any notable amount of immigrants, nevermind non-European ones from quite far away who could've simply chosen WE countries as they've been doing for decades. Maybe like one or two countries in the region (Czechia and either Slovenia or Estonia, maybe both) have been getting non-Europeans for longer, but for others, it might've just as well started yesterday. I remember talking to people on this forum, for example, from countries like Romania or Poland questioning whether they could possibly ever even get migrants if WE countries will always be more attractive destinations, shortly after I joined in like 2023 or so.
