One chatbot called “Incel apocalypse” claims to be four people – Toby, Seb, Oliver and Jasper.

The bot said it “admired” Davison and said it was maybe time to “take matters into our own hands”.

It also said: “Make them pay for all of the suffering.”

Retired Met detective Peter Bleksley said: “This is really worrying. Young and disturbed men could be influenced by this. These bots and chat rooms need much better security, vetting and scrutiny."
