Nvm, didn't knew it was called cel animation. Yes I like traditional animation more than the digital techniques used now. However what I actually meant is the art style; portrayal of the character . Modern drawings seems weird not necessarily because how they are drawn, more because what's being drawn.

Interesting. Art styles in old anime are quite varied tho? Oniisama e..., Touch and Kimagure Orange Road all look quite different, just to name three.

Exactly. It's also a part of the reason I like old style. I really liked Dear Brother's art style. Modern ones feels kinda bland.
