I'm overweight as well. I've lost some weight but i was 82kg at one point and I'm 5'6 so i was obese. In addition I have knock knees as well and used to have knee pain a few years ago. Really the only reason I squat is because the leg press in my gym only goes up to 90kg which I maxxed out 2 weeks after startingProbably because I’ve always been over weight.
When I went 5 days week in high school I’d skip squat and just do leg press and the other machines.
Dumb doctor told me I’d need knee replacements by 30.
She was wrong 35 and still have my originals.
But haven’t been in gym or played sports since high school either so my knees could be a problem I guess.
It's for 8-10 reps and i weigh 65kg rn. Given how horrible my diet is and the fact that I'm cutting and still managing to increase my lifts is something I'm satisfied withWell if that's your 1 rep max it's pretty over, especially considering you weigh 82kg.

Too much volume. If my gym gad a good leg press I wouldn't squat at all it makes you shorterunfortunately. but i would do them both if there was.
