Given that we know that historically it's that 80% of women reproduced but only 40% of men did, polygamous societies having a higher percentage is pretty shocking ngl, though I guess a lot of that is because those percentages are based on living descendants and the constant warfare and genocides in the past definitely did their part in wiping out many men's genetic lines.

War didn't kill as many people as many would think. Out of the 107 billion people that have ever existed, about 1 billion in total died in war. That means there were still more men than women, and many men just simply didn't produce in the tribe or village.
