No people don't end up becoming an incel because of their height. But it does significantly increase their chances of being an incel, as they have to compensate for their short stature with other attributes, such as facial features or frame.
5'8 is not very short to the point of no return tho. I would say being 5'6 and under is when there isn't really much you could do about it.
