that's weird, many beers in Poland come only in bottles, the cheapest ones (not necessarily the worst ones btw) come in both cans and bottles, but usually there's either no price difference or it's very small (and you can bring the empty bottles back to the store for recycling and whatnot and get some money back)
I don't think there's much difference tbh, you can always pour it into a glass (I usually drink it straight from the bottle, that's why I prefer it)
