I can't think of any 2D Mario that's a Tier. I put New Super Mario Bros 2 low because I found it boring and too easy

Gameboy aren't the same games. Super Mario Land controls like shit and is clunky and weird. Super Mario Land 2 is probably the most unique Mario game with a ton of creative and new worlds.

Gameboy aren't the same games.

Last time I emulated the GBA ones on my phone, they looked and played exactly the same. I know about the OG black & white gameboy ones, and I did play them for a while. Just couldn’t care enough to finish + it was insanely difficult if not impossible with touch controls. You need proper controller buttons for that shit.

It’s the gold standard for four-player 2D home console experiences. It inspired so many good games to come, namely Rayman Origins, Legends, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland and DKC: Tropical Freeze.

I'm talking about Super Mario Land. Not the Mario Advance games. I however left the Mario Advance games because they have exclusive levels and altered content. I wish the list had included Mario All Stars which is the base the GBA games built off. All Stars massively improves the NES games.

I don't think it's trash. It's difficult enough to be entertaining. It's just very generic and can get full. Definitely better than later games tho.
