You cherry picked the UK vs USA. If I pick Canada vs USA then there are less schools, less seats, less admissions in Canada vs USA.You're confused. US medical school spots increased substantially in the last several years but a decently large percentage of resident physicians in the US still went to school abroad. This is unlike any other country.
Let's look at UK for example:
22,239 medical school spots in USA 2020-2021 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_school_in_the_United_States#:~:text=matriculants.,success rate of 42 percent.)
9,500 (approx) medical spots in the UK 2020.
Population of USA: 330 million
Populationof UK: 67 million
I don't think I even have to do the math here. Just looking at the numbers it's clear. Add to that in the US, med school is after undergrad and thus requires more advanced exams (MCAT) and requirements at baseline.
Because he's a sexual deviant who can't control himself? I agree it should be correlated with poor academic performance but there are plenty of reasons it might be possible. e.g. Perhaps his compulsion is more recent (post-med school acceptance) and in that case the residency he got and the place he went to were quite non-competitive which implies maybe he didn't do that great in med school.
Actually read about this ricel. The shit he did is so brazenly stupid it leads me to believe he was an international student that paid loads of money to be let into med school.
