According to reports, Marcela was shot to death after a man pulled up to the establishment where she was having a drink with another man, and shot her three times — striking her in the face.
When police arrived at the scene, she was still alive. She died on her way to the hospital, according to authorities.
According to police, Marcela was involved in drug trafficking and a member of a criminal faction.
In 2019, she was prosecuted for armed robbery after she and five other men broke into a residence. She was sentenced to house arrest, an exclusive benefit granted for being the mother of four children.
Police believe all these elements may be linked to her death.
