this might be my fate too if I don't relocate to a slightly safer area.
the problem is that I don't wanna live around whites and asians either as a ricecel.
in the black and hispanic areas, there are more dangerous zones and then there are more safer zones. but overall, its still dangerous compared to the white and asian areas. because obviously the thugs from the high crime hotspot areas, occasionally spill over their crime to the less dangerous areas of the ghetto.
as for the story, white americans have commonly referred to immigrants and refugees as naive. Naive to live around blacks and walk around freely without worry (because lets face it, their home countries were likely poor dangerous shitholes as well). and they don't have the experience around blacks and learned to hate, fear, be racist against blacks.
like this afghan refugee in SF that was shot and killed by niggers recently. he didn't know any better. you don't sit in your car in a dimly lit area at night in a ghetto area.
also the countless chinese students at USC who have lost their lives as USC is very close to a very dangerous ghetto.
