i usually HATE songs about sex. but as a 2000s kid, i feel so much nostalgia towards my childhood and the way society was back then that i honestly can't help but feel nostalgic toward 2000s hits even if they're about sex. only a few songs are too sexual for me to stomach, but most of them i can tolerate solely due to nostalgia.
that decade had the catchiest music i've ever heard, and i honestly can't believe it's now old school or retro. i don't know if i will be able to tolerate these songs out of nostalgia forever, but for now, i can listen to it. examples include:
*Promiscuous by nelly furtado and timbaland
*cyclone by baby bash and t pain (forgotten underrated hit)
*lollipop by lil wayne
*yeah by usher
*smack that by akon (sometimes i can tolerate it at least)
*ayo technology by 50 cent
*the way i are by timbaland and keri hilson
i feel like i'm back in the 2000s listening to it back in my childhood. i really miss when timbaland's beats were omnipresent in 2007. i also miss the gamecube/wii era and when a game like onimusha warlords was advanced and this was PS2. metal was bands like killswitch engage and bullet for my valentine, but also bands like disturbed and slipknot. internet was far more chill and less opinionated/narcissistic. pc culture wasn't there and people were equal opportunists about their insults.
the zoomer era sucks. i always will miss the millennial era as an early zoomer.
