What you feel like does not change what you are. A man may feel he is a woman, but he is still biologically male. In the same way, you may "feel like a kid," but at eighteen you are not one. You are legally and biologically an adult.
At eighteen you can vote, you can sign contracts, you can join the military, you can be tried in court as an adult, you can marry, and you can move out of your parents' house and live on your own. You cannot demand all of those rights and then pretend you are still a child the moment responsibility comes with them!
