Even back in the USSR days, there were thousands of agents trained to infiltrate various communities.

With the rise of internet and the pseudo-anonimity it grants, infiltration has evolved into a whole other beast.

There are literally thousands of techniques they can use to manipulate the discourse and the general atmosphere of an online community. Which posts and threads are more popular, which ones are ignored, how the threads are perceived. These things and many more are very easy to do, through various techniques, by just 2 agents on multiple accounts. More agents means more control.

Don't think of it as the CIA or some other boogeyman agency doing it. It's the way the system is designed, total control of public discourse. You see, the 20th century has experimented with authoritarianism and outright control, and it turns out that people tend to rebel against that. So the alternative is what's happening now, the illusion of free speech and democracy. And under that illusion, everything that's being said is controlled and directed towards the desired outcome.

Sure, the individual can say whatever they want technically, but the masses and the ideas and values that communities share can be manipulated easily. And that's what the system does by infiltrating every community, online or not, that has more than a certain number of members. The ideas need to be controlled.

Also, I doubt they invest a lot into forums such as these. Give 3 interns a book on infiltration 101 and put them to work. Or just contract a troll factory.

yep, iv seen it happening with my own two eyes.
i think im one of the oldest r9k posters on this site (dating back to 2009 almost). and iv seen how the site have changed.
and i can tell you that within a range of few months the entire site was changed, at first- people were protesting the disgusting threads and we tried to contain the homos and there were so many they simply overtook the forum.
my guess? there is no way something like this could happen naturally, r9k was a discussion board before it was a shitposting board.. it was never about taking hormones or taking it up the ass. it was the totally different.

With one VPN I was once able to change the entire discourse of a fairly large forum. To the people reading: NEVER Trust anonymous or pseudo-anonymous communities as an organic expression of anything. This is something the media does not understand about incel forums etc
