A roastie and her kid were standing behind me while we waited for the train. She told him that this is how it looks like if you have muscular legs. I imagine the kid first asked her why my legs look weird but I didn't hear that.
They aren't massive but they're mostly fat
if you have big thick calves you will look shorter than you actually are

even when i was fat my calves looked almost exactly the same as they look now
Mine are out of steel cause i ride MTB almost every day
Your bones matter more than muscle. If you have shins like Jan Blachowicz you can break everyone else shins with a single tap. Muh calf muscle is cope, it's the bone density of the calf that matters.
I have really good calf insertions not that it mattERs

height is height theres no such thing as looking shorter, stockier and bigger sure, not shorter( a 5 11 lanklet vs a 5 11 200+ man will look the same height once they stand next to each other)
Separately they will be perceived differently
