When I saw a foid on Instagram, she had many pics with her shiba Inu. One of the list was about "when people ask how big is the dog" then the next reel shown her sitting with her dog, written "almost as big as me".

To be fair she wasn't wrong. While she is definitely taller than the dog, her size was comparable when crouching.

I knew instantly what that is going to mean.

Agreed small dogs can't defend themselves so there's my objection I don't want a large bird of prey grabbing it or even some smaller mammals like mustalids being a threat either .

Not only that, but tiny dogs are often cowardly. Useless except as alarms.

Although my neighbors had a tiny dog that hunted rabbits by going in holes and culverts. It got ripped up, and ripped off and robbed of it's rabbit by larger hunting dogs..
