Well, It is a book for adolescents. I have no idea why this term even exist. Most of those series I read just outright sucked imho, especially the urban fantasy ones. Why do / did they get pushed so much? I felt HP was already one of the better ones and had some interesting ideas. Then again I never touched the genre again.

English class was terrible and even in German we never really approached fictional literature besides some classics, much less creative writing, so no idea what makes a good writer tbh. I just like them or I don't, but yeah Rowling kinda feels ehm prosaic, I guess? If it had not been for the universe and the nostalgia, I probably would never have reread them.
