To establish a context, there's this RPG called Baldur's Gate III, and in this game you can meet a married couple of a mentally-handicapped man and a foid who takes advantage of his condition, sending him on a dangerous missions for their business (originally his business). When you as a player meet them, she tells you that her husband used to be abusive and hit her until he hit his head and became an imbecile, claiming that she got scars to prove it (she has a visible scar across her face). If you also use magic to speak with their pack mule, it'll tell you that the man now hits it way less than he used to. Now, there's a way to heal this man's condition, restoring his original intelligence. I missed out on this opportunity in my playthrough since I just wiped out their whole settlement including two of them for other reasons. So when I accidentally found out about this option, I decided to watch what'll be its result on a YouTube. And there we get to the interesting part, the comment section. I'll provide the highlights:
These people are so ignorant to the fact that foids can lie for their benefit and do so on a regular basis. The thought of possibility of this foid having a scar on her face from another source and just using it as an excuse to not let anyone heal her husband so she can keep using him doesn't even cross their mind. This normie mentality of immediately trusting foid's claims about "abuse" and "assault" is what ruined so many innocent men's lives. And it even shows in the fiction. I also checked the channels of people who supported the "She tells this herself therefore this is true!" claim and at least two of them were men. I get it when foids do that, at this point they're just a hivemind. But when men share this sentiment this is just sad, they're so deeply brainwashed by our gynocentristic society.
Replies:That Deep Roche is the ONLY reason I don't give him the Noblestalk I don't want him to hurt that poor animal anymore!
Well she also literally says he used to beat her, “Got my scars to prove it”. A sad story indeed
i mean you dont need to do all that. you can just ask derryth. she straight up tells you that he gave her the scar on her face.
men will listen to a COW before they listen to an actual woman! (kind of joking but also not)
crazy that you guys have more empathy for an animal than an abused wife
The wife can always ask for help or find the strength to leave, an animal often cannot. Thus, we have more empathy for an animal.
[heavy likes ratio] mental gymnastic to explain why you dont care about women
Yikes, “I can excuse a physically abusive partner” and “a woman can ALWAYS ask for help when being abused” like… what? I sincerely hope you and the ppl liking those comments are not men who date women.
