We are all victims of mass-democratization and the universalism of values. In Ancient Greece and Rome ethics were sustained on the basis of pluralism and hierarchy: the expectations of the plebeian were different from that of the aristocrat. This changed with Christianity: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)
Ethical universalism imposes over us a reconsideration of ordinary life as the only possible mode of existence since there is a negation of transcendentalism. Why do we orientate ourselves, our existence, to the mere fact that we are not able to build romantic relationships in our ordinary and banal existences? This sentiment is akin to feminism, which politicizes the domestic and the private sphere (with an emphasis on relationships) for the purpose of equality.
The limit of masculinity is the destruction of ordinary existence, the complete disregard for your individual life and the assumption that the heroic is more meaningful that the feminine field of domesticity. Perhaps the only time that domesticity truly served masculinity was when the authority of the house was the male in the form of the pater familias, but we not longer live in such a world. Domesticity is now a field of the women, which is why marriage industrial complex is extremely gyno-centric.
We should have complete disregard for ordinary existence, our problems derived from the fact that we assume the communitarian ideal of humanity but we failed to engage in its dialogical process which creates frustrations and insecurities. Disregard relationships, disregard having a girlfriend, disregard having a family, disregard everything that limits your capacity to affirm yourself. Re-direct your libidinal impulses to something "useful," not in the utilitarian sense but in the egoist sense.
