Aside from the fact that this is factually false (you can't miss a shot if you don't take it...that's literally not how it works), it's a horrible analogy.

Making a shot is something you can actually physically control.

Getting laid is not, unless you count rape. In getting laid, somebody else has to actually agree to it.

It's like having Shaq shooting from 80 feet away and the basket is conscious and grossed out by big black men. Even if he manages to get the ball up on the rim (which would be extremely unlikely for a guy like him, who struggled to make shots more than 3 feet from the basket) the basket goes, "Ewwwww, like, NO," and the rim immediately contracts and the ball ricochets. Eventually, Shaq is going to stop taking shots, because he knows he's going to miss 100% of the shots he does take.
