well how did insects and that get wings? Obviously they're not going to have fully functioning wings straight off the bat, nevermind having the innate behaviour to know how to use them, so how would they have evolved over hundreds or thousands of generations with things on their backs which would have been a hindrance at first?
Obviously they have to survive to reproduce, and having extra weight on the back and having to eat more to grow and all that would make it more likely to die, ya know? I mean, it makes sense for sea creatures because they would have more food and no predators on land, and the ones with more developed fins which could traverse land easier would love to breed, but I can't really say the same for winged insects. Can someone explain it to me, because I remember I asked my old biology teacher the same thing and he just said like "shut up and get on with your work" lol. He was a cool curry tbh
