When women say "looks aren't important", it's nothing more than virtue signaling. It isn't authentic. Women are socialized by society to pretend looks aren't important, and men are socialized to believe it.
Women are only "less visual" in a very misleading and pragmatic way. She might "give him a chance" when she wants something long-term, but her "interest" is of the settling kind. Female settling in the looks department is the dirty secret behind cheating, high divorce rates, sexless marriages, neurotic/demanding female behavior, controlling/mate guarding MALE behavior, unstable relationships, game playing, flakiness, bad dating advice, etc, etc. If you're not "good enough" for just sex, then SHE cannot be trusted for a relationship or marriage!
