Gaming Xbox series X or PS5 - anyone tried either?

I figured maybe I should splurge on a 9th gen console, though I'm still toying with possibility of Nintendo Switch.
Any recommendations?
TBH should prob be investing in more soundproofing but have lost faith in contractors.
Or maybe buying a mobile bracket to mount TV to wall so I could watch in bed, but again, hard to focus...

I pretty much have one so maybe I should jsut go with my original plan of buying a used Xbox controller for ergonomics
no idea which games to pirate tbh

If you already have a gaming pc get a ps5 since all xbox exclusive are coming to pc

If you have enough money for a gaming machine and you have no problems buying an expensive console then why dont you go to philippines and ascend?

I would recommend you to buy PS5 buying xbox a huge mistake that I made ps5 has a lot more games

Didn't know they exported video games to "Canada", as if there's enough people out there who aren't isolated enough to create a mark it for it. Most just import from the U.S.

My dad bought a Switch for my brother back in 2017. Tbh, the DS and Game Boy games were much better. Still have my DSi.

Old thread, but Xbox Series X is the secret winner

It has tons of BC games, many of them with significant enhancements (Gears of War 2 runs 4K@60FPS, for example). Playing shit like SSX3, Crimson Skies, Rainbow Six Vegas, Red Dead Redemption, Rare Replay etc all in one cool/fast/silent package is a godsend

You can even switch between games and go to sleep mode easily.

I just dug up an old fat X360, but that mf is loud, unwieldly, slow and just sad to look at. Not to mention that the new XSX controller mogs the old gamepads.

If he has good PC no need to buy a console, now they have pretty much same games. Ds4, dual sense and xbox one and xbox x controllers all work flawlessly on it. If he needs to upgrade funny thing its cheaper to buy entire console than decent gpu alone.

Ironically, not really. It works fine on the Xboxes, but not on PC. People always complain about dropping connection with a dongle/BT.
I use it wired on my PC because of that.

If PC ever gets a mogger Xbox/X360/PS4 emulators then my point will be moot entirely though, but yeah:

Both xbox one s and ds4 work good wirelessly on my pc. Maybe xbox one controllers are not compatible well with some bluetooth chips, i use 5.0 no name bt dongle.
