Almost 20k lurkers right now. :shock:

For most of my time on this site the lurkers were between 2k and 3k.
But i think since about 2 or 3 weeks the number of lurkers keeps growing.
200 active users for 20k lurkers is wild, a 1/100 ratio. :shock:

Thoughts on whats happening?

i think it's bots, a huge chunk of them are viewing threads that haven't been bumped for years
 
People talked about incels on youtube, tiktok, there were shitty tv series on incels etc etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if it mentioned .is or very obviously alluded to it

My autistic ass looked at the first 3 pages of guests and the threads they were looking at. They all seem to be very random in the post dates.

Granted there's over 300 pages of guests and I only did three + this was back in Saturday but I doubt it's any different now.

I have no fucking idea what's happening. I lurked here for some time (since roughly March/April) but how can THIS many be on this site at once? Most I've seen previously was like 4k. Something is definitely occurring. Dunno how the mods haven't sorted it yet, maybe the ITroons are sending out their tactical nukes or whatever

Nah, guests (real people) outnumber bots greatly.

subtract total visitors with guests and you'll get the number of bots. There's only 218 bots compared to almost 20k lurkers
