no cuz if manlets want to be tall in order to ascend they wouldn't be able to hide the fact that they're a shapeshifting freak who escaped some research facility. you need something more alluring like they could become a chad at will for exactly 72h a month and they could control the transformation at anytime but are still limited to 72h of active chad time (like a video game free trial that counts how long the application is running for and stops counting when u close the game). at least this way this deal could reliably help the manlet secure one night stands.

Im assuming you would know exactly when your height changes. You could just stay indoors and LDAR most days so nobody finds out you're a shapeshifter. Then simply go out once per month and try to ascend if possible.
