Cousin marriage was very common in my country about 100 years ago. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it as far as marriage in general goes. I would not promote closer forms of incest such getting with a sibling though. There's a good reason most people find that disgusting.

Birth defects do arise when it's done for several generations. So if your parents were cousins and you yourself marry a cousin, then your children are fucked. Pakis marry almost exclusively among their cousins and it has lead to some couples having only disabled children.
