Humans are animals and every animals instinct is to pass on it's genes regardless of how it happens.

There are exceptions to this rule i.e. bees protecting the hive and humans protecting their kin.

It's hypothesized that some species including humans will protect their Kin's offspring at all costs. This ensures part of your genes will be passed on. Since your siblings share 50 percent of your DNA. Here's a list of the average percent DNA shared between relatives.
