Depends on the Circumstances, China doesn't need to start a war, they need to just let America self-destruct
They could lose without help from Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Their army is untested.

even that seems unlikely besides the fact trump is not a warmonger so it'd never begin in the first place. Consider this most of the conflict would happen in the south china sea and Taiwan worst case scenario South Korea gets dragged into it. War support in America would be abysmal after being drained in 2 decades of middle east wars. Chinese war support would be really high due to it being right in their backyard. America as soon as it starts suffering heavy casualties morale would implode. China it would not.

america has a fleet of f-35s and a large powerful navy but china has a bunch of hypersonic carrier killer missiles and some stealth fighters of its own
right now america has the edge because of its large navy but that is slowly changing by the year because china's navy is growing.
the american navy would have to face a constant barrage of these hypersonic carrier killer missiles. if china sank one or two of america's carriers, america would have to withdraw. just losing one of those carriers is just too heavy of a loss. america can't continue a war when its constantly losing its carriers with no way to defend against those hypersonic missiles.
but obviously those hypersonic missiles cost a lot too and if america was really all in, the american navy is just too large so yea the edge goes to america as far as the naval/air war but once it gets to the land, it would be a stale mate blood bath. it wouldn't be like the iraq war where the iraqis didn't stand toe to toe with america in the desert. they just dropped their weapons, got out of their tanks and ran. they barely fired off their anti air missiles against american air power. in china it would be entirely different. chinese military would stand toe to toe and would be willing to suffer heavy losses like they did with the japanese in the second sino japanese war and the korean war.

Realistically speaking, war is unlikely, as China and the United States are each other's most important trading partners, and neither has anything significant to gain from attacking.

Nope, it would be the end of USA as a great power. Thing is many countries will side with China, especially the countries USA bullied all these years. With USA over stretched they couldnt do anything about it if countries ditch the dollar and sabotage American infrastructure in their countries like mines, economic facilities etc.
USA wont just march in like they did in Iraq or Afgahnistan to a country that produces nothing at all industraly and is weak once their only tanks and weapons are blown to bits. China can keep producing for years on end.
Secondly China can hire foreign fighters to expand the war to other continents, shieet maybe even Ruzssia will join in and expand into East Europe just causing a whole mess for the West. USA/EU will not be able to keep up on a man power level. Especially if ethnics decide to sabotage mineral mines in their 3rd world countries and slow down or completely stop the export of vital minerals to the West.

Yes, the Chinese navy still does not hold a candle to the American navy, the same can be said for the air force and military itself, but the conflict would largely be naval-focused. A 1v1 is already impossible but when you factor Japanese, Australian and New Zealander ships it does not look good for china.

Ya it would be dumb for us to attack China, when China is heading over this demographic cliff. China also appears to be turning away from capitalism and back towards communism, so if that continues their economy will decline.
If the statements in this video actually are true then yes China will head over the demographic cliff soon. Or maybe its all propaganda, fact remains though that the amazing economic rise of China has reached its peak or maybe has already passed that peak and from here will decline. If USA maintanes a strong economy then war now is silly because in like 20 years China wont be able to project as much power as now. But whatever
