No, gambling is low iq and boring
Poker is actually the opposite, tbh. There's a lot mathematics behind poker and gambling. Some of it is very easy, while others need university level background in calculus, game theory, and probability theory. I didn't included statistics in there, because that's already informed by probability theory and is used as a diagnostic tool to analyze results and trends.
As far as gambling goes, it's one of the few intelligent gambling games out there. The time and effort investment, however, is not worth the return in the vast majority of cases. If you're smart, disciplined, and level-headed enough to play poker at a high level, then you're smart, disciplined, and level-headed enough to invest and start a successful business. Your odds of being successful in poker where you will regularly win money in the high six, low seven figures for years on end is exceedingly low.
Study the game, play it competitively, and enjoy yourself, just as you would enjoy any other competitive board game or video game. But don't let it consume you.

I will admit, though, it's very, very,
VERY fucking boring.
