If you're a man, you are mostly ignored or avoided by women, and you... have I think a mixed experience with other men. Some are nice, some aren't.

For women, men are often nice to them, although often it is because they ultimately just want sex. And other women I are generally quite nice to them too.

Apparently women have quite a lot of camaraderie/community, more so than men. The "sisterhood", lol.

So that must be nice. To have a lot more positive interaction from both genders.

From my observations ( don't want to say it's 100% accurate ) women treat each other significantly better than men treat each other.
Someone mentions them being bitchy. But this is nothing compared to male groups when other men bully or intimidate you when you cross some boundaries or they just don't like you.
Women can be awful towards another women but they need a reason. Men just can treat someone like trash because they show him his place or believe that bullying builds character etc.
It seems that women often treat other women according to principle 'don't touch me and I wouldn't touch you', 'don't harm me and I wouldn't harm you' etc while men treat other men according to principle 'I will bully or harm you because I'm stronger/higher in the hierarchy and you would do nothing because it's part of life'.

There is a difference how female inmates are treated by other female inmates and how male inmates are treated by men ( at least in Russia ).
Female inmates can function alone and don't be a part of the prison 'hierarchy' ( hierarchy in female prisons are softer compared to hierarchy in male prisons ) if they want.
In male prison you dont have any freedom you are cog in the machine.
Female inmates also don't attack or humiliate newbie when she enters prison. They talk with her and try to figure out how to treat her. They of course can treat her badly if she committed some heinous crime but in male prison you are attacked from the start no matter that especially if you can't stand up for yourself.
