Troughout the whole Ancient, Medieval and most of the Modern period either the man himself (if he's rich, part of the nobility, etc.) or her parents (i suppose mainly the father) had the say. The role of the parents was right in place and was very important cuz they decided who's the right one to be her husband.
No one asked girls/young women "But sweety, who are you attracted to the most?" and that was for a reason.
The whole concept of the female having options to choose from is retarded af and engineered by (((them))). It's one of the factors (not the sole one, ofc.) that led to the collapse of most of the conservative societies worldwide and finally of soyciety itself.
