They really only care about how you make them feel. For instance, attractive men make a woman feel better about herself due to an increase in perceived status boost by dating someone seen as conventionally attractive. Popular men make a woman feel better by being seen to be associated with someone with social status and is accepted by a large circle of people. Strong men make women feel protected and secure from others that may be perceived to threaten her safety. No matter the man, you'll always just be fulfilling a mere role in her life, which in turn means that you can very much easily be replaced. This is exactly why women can get over breakups so much faster than men can, with many cases where a woman has already moved on to a new guy while the original bf is still heartbroken.
