I think there is a reason that prior to marriage ancient societies segregated men and women as much as possible, and some Islamic societies still do so to this day. Its because any pursuit of excellence or greatness by men (with the exception of the top few percent who meet women's looks criteria) is hampered by the ever-negative presence and influence of women.
I think this is because deep down most women are innately aware of their being less remarkable than men, so they feel resentment at seeing average males try to strive to something above the subsistence level of living they were born into.
It kinda reminds me of this:
Ironically, after thinking that I'd been the originator of this term I decided to look it up and found out that its widely used by women on Reddit to complain about their boyfriends/husbands. My guess is they use it to describe men who grew tired of tap dancing for the entertainment of their spouses and receiving no reciprocity
