Wokeness in gaming is a slippery slope

It never begins with hideous ogress women or gay shit everywhere. It starts out subtly. Girl bosses who are still attractive, companies pushing diversity incentives, advertising their game to a wider audience. That's what happened to western gaming from the years 2010-2017. It doesn't evolve into something more radical untill diversity hires have the most power.


What we're seeing now with Japanese gaming is these diversity hires in the west having more and more influence over the Japanese games development.

Ofc we haven't entered the stage where it's blatantly obnoxious. However, we are getting there.

I think this discorce on woke gaming is not being directed they way it should. A game dose not need to be progressive nor conservative.

For Example:

The GTA SA had a black MC. No one talked about how woke it was fir having a POC on.
The next one had an immigrant play as OC.

Salmas from metroid was a women. Who gave a shit.

Woke gaming tries to portray adding non white character as an achievement when it was kinda always happening.
