In the most popular media, incels are portrayed as villains. Normies who don't know anything about the Internet surely stumble upon that kind of misinformation first and hold on to that belief even if they later see the truth. They then proceed to spread that misinformation to their normie friends. This is further exacerbated by the fact that the most rage-inducing ideas are the ones that spread the most. This all results in a positive feedback loop and I think it will result in mass hysteria and an attack on incel forums on the governmental level.
Also, this will probably lead to "the quiet kids in class" being branded as incels and ostracized even more than they currently are, leading to more trauma and ER events, giving normies more excuses to hate incels.
