depends on the city you live in. if you live in a very expensive city that would make you regular middle class but for most cities a 6 figure salary would make you upper middle class.

if I'm not upper middle/rich myself ,
if I dont work
then even if my family is upper middle/rich
I'll still be poor

That's highly location dependent. Say if you live in SF (Bay Area) and make only $100k you would be considered poor, whereas in West Virginia you would be a literal god.

You would be considered upper class in the west depending on where you live. Look at average income in the US and you'd be making double that
