Healthy food pyramid chart vector 32851464

I remember when I was a kid being shown this pyramid a million times and being told that carbohydrates were the most important part of your diet, that you had to eat a lot of bread, pasta, cereal and similars to have energy for the day. But now with the fitness and healthy eating culture everyones says that carbohydrates are worse than poison and that they make you fat and are not nutritious, wtf, why wasn't I told that in the first place? All my life believing that bread or cereal was healthy but now all the nutriotionists and health professionals saying they should be avoided like the plague kek. Or bodybuilders who will say "just eat meat and protein shakes bruh :chad::chad::chad::chad:"

yes, we were lied to (and still are). meat and fish need to be on the bottom

Healthy food is a cope. It's all in your genetics. I've seen people who eat nothing but fast food and have excellent health, while 'muh healthy diet" soy-chuggers have a mile long list of illnesses.

I thought fish was okay to eat. Why is it unhealthy?

Do you have any idea on how to stop eating sugar foods? Thanks.

TBH I don't remember being taught anything about nutrition as a kid. I'm a foreign oldcel, though.

You can't survive long-term deficiencies in your diet, regardless of your genetics. Food of poor nutrition value will need to be ingested in larger quantities for your body to get all the nutrients it needs. But then you get excessive caloric intake and if that excess is in the form of sugars, it gets turned into fat, which makes people obese.

That being said, you may be right. Some people may have a metabolism that is more efficient at processing food. Or perhaps they have a better gut microbiome. Who knows.

Fish are fed a toxic soy diet. This results in unhealthy fat balance.

Carbs are okay, the problem is we eat too much of it
