I like anime because of the quality and originality you get from certain authors. There’s a level of slave like dedication to the craft of manga that you don’t see in a lot of forms of western media, which can lead to some really talented artists/writers creating some really super stuff. I watch subs because Japanese voice actors are really good, and mog any English VA to oblivion.


That’s not to say that there’s not a fuck ton of cringe derivative anime, especially in the fantasy and isekai genres, but I just don’t watch those (no one should).
