Back in the day in western countries, boomers could afford college, they could afford to buy a house and start a family, they had life on easy mode basically.

Nowadays everything is so fucking expensive, if you are a millenial or Gen z in a western country good luck ever buying a house, if you are a student you are often working 2 jobs just to rent a shitty studio apartment, if you go to college and get your meme-tier degree than the job market is still brutal and its not common for people with degrees to wageslave.

The global economy is getting worse every decade, inflation, rising costs of living, it seems like it is on its last legs.

So how did this happen?

Its almost like the elites deicided to fuck over their own countries for fun.

tax code, investments etc favoring transfer of wealth to the top

overly complex / bureaucratic laws that limit supply of goods like houses, cars, etc (probably the biggest factor)

meme degrees that don't result in good jobs but cost $200k

private/public healthcare & education systems that provide the worst of both worlds, decreasing quality & extreme cost

higher global population = more demand

fight against "global warming"

govt just printing money to fund all sorts of shit

too big / inefficient governments
