Whenever i study any subject for the finals and start reading it to understand, i find it way overcomplicated and i freak out thinking that this subject is hard and i'm fucked. But whenever i search outer sources to understand better, i find it actually way too easy and the retarded professor just can't explain for shit thus making it way harder than it really is.



Why do they make things harder than they really are for college courses? Just to torture students or because they're just really that retarded?

I think one problem is that everyone has a different learning style so when you search by yourself you read the stuff you find appealing but with the education system you're stuck with the professor.

This tbh. Profs are shitty at explaining, I only used youtube videos and books for learning chemistry, if I just tried to use what the prof gave me I would have totally been lost. Furthermore, everyone has a different way of learning, mostly I write a summary on the subject after understanding its concepts and then I read it loudly while walking around to learn the hard facts.

Both. I also think that many want to flex with their knowledge like bodybuilders who aren't welcoming/helpful to new gym members and just want to intimidate them and show them how small they are compared to them.

I did average in college. I literally got every grade in the spectrum including + & - variants. I'm doing fine financially, had nothing to do with grades but everything to do with dumb luck, and focusing solely on actual skills. I know (or more precisely, have been acquainted with) NEETS who were valedictorians, and Ivy Leaguers, and millionaires that don't even have a high school degree or a tech background,

I deeply regret going to college. It's traumatizing to be incel in such an environment. I wake up at night screaming in jealousy like a PTSD war vet. Thank god you have zoom, so you don't have to deal with the CONSTANT SOUNDS OF SEX penetrating thru the dorm walls. I honestly wish I found God and stuck with it early in life, and never educated myself about liberal shit. It brought me nothing but anxiety. I think if I was just a dumb religious guy I would have been sheltered from the mogging and general secular temptations. Anything you can do. Video games, sports, gymcelling, reading, watching movies anything. It is important to keep your brain active else it’ll just rot and it’s very difficult to get out of it.

Depends on how long you’ve been rotting. If its just a few weeks or months you can try to get it back by doing activities. If it’s over a year then its not easy to reverse the damage bc your brain feels lethargic.

I find college easier than sixth form (A-levels/AP exams).

You need a balance tbh. Don't just work otherwise you'll burn yourself out. Try and read around modules if you can. There are some which are straight up boring/useless and you'll never come across again so for those just stick to memory to pass exams.

I'm in my 30s. Looking back, college was hard because I was depressed, anxious, and lazy. Foids posting nonstop in social media. Going out.

If I were to do it over again I could breeze through most subjects easily as I am older, wiser, and more well read now.

Math, stats, engineering, and physics are gonna be the hardest subjects obviously, regardless. If you're not 125IQ+, you could very easily spend 8+ hours a day studying on one of these subjects just to earn a B-.

Unis are in it purely for money and there is heavy gate keeping on a lot of fields. Alternatively some fields are just really really hard compared to others (engineering/programming, etc).

I have a theory that they do that shit to keep students in for longer.

I looked at my Bachelor's degree progress a couple days ago, and it basically showed that a lot of the classes I was taking were completely fucking pointless, even though I went to specific staff and they told me which classes to take.

I also failed about 8 credit hours worth of classes in my first two years, so that didn't help. But even if I did pass those classes, they would be completely pointless and wouldn't have contributed to my degree's progress in the first place. From what I calculated, I'm going to have to be in college for at LEAST an extra four fucking semesters, even though I'm in my third year of college. Seriously, fuck this shit and fuck this soyciety. Back 30-40 years ago, you didn't need a piece of paper from a college to make decent money. This is straight up money laundering, highway robbery, extortion, whatever you'd like to call it.

Not to mention, only 41% of students manage to finish a Bachelor's in four years nowadays. That tells quite a lot.
